The Entry, Descent and Landing System, developed at Georgia Tech, provides for safe return of the payload through the intense aerothermodynamic environment of hypersonic entry while attenuating the loads during atmospheric deceleration and landing. Mission analyses confirm the landing ellipse fits well within the range and permits rapid recovery of the payload.
